Fourth of July needs marshal

The Huntington Beach Fourth of July Executive Board is looking for a community member to act as a grand marshal.
One person selected will have the honor of riding in the 106th annual parade. Nominees must be a Surf City resident and have contributed to the community through volunteer work, family history or philanthropy.
To make a nomination, submit a statement outlining the person’s accomplishments. The statements can be e-mailed to board Director Patricia Steir at [email protected], or mailed to Steir at 2000 Main St., 5th floor, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
The board is also looking for sponsors for its announcer stations. The five announcer stations can be bought for $500 each. The purchaser would have their name and website on the Huntington Beach Fourth of July website and an ad in the program.
