COSTA MESA — Junior P.J. Maloney went one for three with two runs and one stolen base for the Mustangs, who ended pool play in the Newport Elks Tournament Monday.

Costa Mesa (1-2) will play at Santa Ana Wednesday at 3 p.m. in a consolation game.

ORANGE — Costa Mesa High finished tied for second in Division III with 56 points at El Modena High Saturday.

Rachel Daley and Tatiana Williams helped the Mustangs win the high jump and long jump relay events.

The Costa Mesa high jump team established a new meet record, 14 feet in the team high jump.

The Mustangs also won the 4x400-meter relay, aided by freshman Jennifer Daley’s 61-second leg.
