French culture comes to library with a cake

A night of French music, culture and cake is coming to the Huntington Beach Public Library.
The Alliance Francaise de la Riviera Californienne will present an evening of music and song with pianist Vern Nelson and singer Tra Nguyen.
Nguyen will sing both French and American songs during the performance. After the performance, a Galette des Rois, the traditional king’s cake with a small trinket hidden inside, will be served.
The show is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. The performance will take place at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 in Room C of the Huntington Beach Public Library at 7111 Talbert Ave. To make a reservation, call (949) 251-1610.
