District seeks personnel volunteers

The Huntington Beach Union High School District is looking for applicants to serve as a volunteer on the Personnel Commission’s three-member panel.

The panel is made up of volunteers who helps establish personnel policy and act as an appeals board for non-teaching employee disciplinary matters.

“This position is for a person who is such an advocate for education and they just want to be a part of it,” Anne Myer, executive secretary for district human resources, said. “Being on this panel will insure that the merit system is run smoothly.”
