A host of Broadway musicals are coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for the 2009-2010 season including some premieres and some oldies.
The center unveiled its list Friday.
It features Monty Python’s “Spamalot,” a Tony-Award-winning parody of Arthurian legend, a staging of Academy-Award-winner “Dreamgirls,” and last year’s Best Musical winner “In the Heights,” among others.
A few wildly popular musicals from seasons past will be re-created on the Segerstrom stage as well.
“Rent” is coming back in October with original cast members Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, and Disney’s “The Lion King,” is coming in the summer of 2010.
Classic Broadway hits “Hairspray” and “Annie” will run during the first half of next year.
