Two robbers sought

Laguna Beach police are asking for public’s help in locating two armed suspects who allegedly attacked and robbed a local restaurant owner at 10:05 p.m. Feb. 26 outside the Mandarin King in North Laguna.

The owner was exiting the business after closing and when he got to his vehicle, he was confronted by two suspects, Sgt. Jason Kravetz said.

Both suspects were described as wearing ski masks, and one had a knife. The second suspect was armed with a large broom, which he allegedly used to strike the owner and knock him to the ground. The suspects demanded cash and fled with some of the store receipts, amounting to $50 in one-dollar bills, according to police records. They fled on foot northbound in the alley.
