FULLERTON — Junior guard Rachel Copeland made eight of 11 three-point attempts on her way to a season-high 34 points to pace the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference road romp Tuesday.
Junior Diana Neves made four three-pointers to finish with 16 points, while Lauren Gregory (14), Molly Pfohl (13) and Bridgette Reyes (12) were also in double figures for the winners (20-3, 13-1 in conference), ranked No. 2 in NAIA Division I.
The 108 points were a season best for Vanguard.
Hope fell to 1-21, 0-14.

FULLERTON — Senior Brandon Glenn led five Lions in double figures with 19 points, including seven of 11 from the field and four of four from the line, in the Golden State Athletic Conference road game Tuesday.
Sophomore Alex Chapman added 18 points off the bench for the Lions (6-16, 5-9 in conference), who committed just nine turnovers.
Glenn had a team-high nine rebounds, while Gregory Scott had six assists for Vanguard.
Hope fell to 4-17, 1-13.

COSTA MESA — Stephanie Leisenring hit a two-run double for the Lions in their victory in the first game of the nonconference doubleheader Tuesday.
Katie Daniels went two for three in the win and pitcher Patricia Olvera allowed three hits and one run, while striking out two in her seven innings for Vanguard (3-2).
Chapman (1-1) took advantage of two errors in the top of the seventh inning and scored two runs for the come-from-behind win.

COSTA MESA — Sophomore Brittany Bass and freshman Melissa Boyer teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles and also won in singles in the Pirates’ season opener Tuesday.
Bass won at No. 1 singles, while Boyer won at No. 2 singles. Nicole Naughton, Kalin Eshelman and Heather Wong also won in singles for OCC (1-0).
