Ten Oilers earn all-league football honors

Ten members of the Huntington Beach High football team have been named to the 2008 Sea View League Football Team.
Five Oilers, seniors Cory Copenhaver (defensive end), Robert Manno (offensive line), JD Ogilvie (receiver/defensive back) and Derrick Romo (receiver/defensive back) and junior Kaller Roemer (receiver) made first team.
Five other Oilers, seniors Logan Emery (running back/defensive back), Kendal Ivey (running back), Kevin Ketelsleger (offensive line) and AJ Trentini (middle linebacker) and junior quarterback Sean Guite made second team.
League champion Foothill nabbed the top offensive and defensive honors as senior Zach Griffith was named Offensive MVP and senior Jordan Winger was named Defensive MVP.
El Toro senior Vince D’Amato was named Special Teams MVP.
