Avalon Tournament
AVALON — Stephanie Garrison hit two free throws with seven seconds left in overtime to lead Sage Hill School to a 49-47 win over Brethren Christian Tuesday.
Hannah Jeffrey scored a career-high 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Lightning’s 62-41 win over Avalon that put Sage Hill (8-4) in today’s championship game of the four-team tournament.
Jeffrey scored 10 points and had nine rebounds in the win against Brethren Christian, when Garrison had six steals and shot five for five from the free-throw line.
The Lightning will face Godinez today at 11:30 a.m. in the tourney final.

GARDEN GROVE — Pacifica’s Raquel Cochrane banked in a half-court shot at the buzzer for the win in the consolation championship of the Garden Grove Tournament Tuesday.
CdM sophomore Kayla Marolt, who scored a game-high 16 points, made two free throws with six seconds left for a 44-42 lead.
Senior Brittany Rhyme had 12 points and seven rebounds for CdM (13-2). She shot eight for 10 from the free-throw line.

COSTA MESA — Troy McClanahan scored 20 points to lead the Eagles in the ninth-place game of the Estancia Coast Classic Tuesday.
Kohl Jones added 17 points for Estancia (6-10). Eagles Coach Agustin Heredia was assessed two technical fouls for arguing with a referee and was ejected. As a result, he will not be on the bench for the Eagles when they play at Corona del Mar on Saturday.
