Taylor Anteaters’ lone women’s soccer honoree

UC Irvine sophomore Tanya Taylor has been named second-team All-Big West Conference in women’s soccer.
Taylor, the lone honoree from the Anteaters, who were 8-9-2, 2-4-2 in conference (sixth place), had two goals and four assists from her forward spot.
Long Beach State, which won the conference regular-season crown and lost to fellow NCAA Tournament qualifier UC Santa Barbara in the conference tournament title game, dominated the top individual honors. Midfielder of the Year Lindsay Bullock, Goalkeeper of the Year Liz Ramos and Coach of the Year Mauricio Ingrassia all represent the 49ers.
UCSB’s Genelle Ives was the Offensive Player of the Year.
Carrie Andrews of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was Defense Player of the Year.
Pacific’s Kristina Wavomba was Freshman of the Year.
