Burglary victims sought

Costa Mesa Police are asking victims in a string of residential burglaries on the north side of the city to come forward.
Law enforcement officials estimate there were about 13 burglaries in the neighborhoods with boundaries of Fairview Road, Bear Street, Sunflower Avenue and the 405 Freeway between Nov. 12 and Saturday. There may have been more local burglaries that have gone unreported, Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Bryan Glass said.
“We want to make sure if people have not reported an incident even if they don’t have any loss we’d still like to know about it,” Glass said.
Costa Mesa police detectives had collected DNA and latent finger print evidence from burglarized homes to assist in identifying potential suspects.
Police are asking residents who have not reported a residential burglary to call Det. David Casarez at (714) 754-5157 or Detective Hans Guenther at (714) 754-5120.
