Community College candidates debate

Presidential candidates and ballot propositions may get plenty of news coverage, but those looking for information on the Coast Community College District Board of Trustees have fewer chances to check out the candidates before voting.

One such chance is tonight, when several candidates for the board, which oversees policy and budgets for local community colleges, including OCC, will discuss their platforms and take questions at a candidate’s forum at Coastline’s Garden Grove campus.

Candidates who have confirmed attendance include incumbents Mary Hornbuckle and Jerry Patterson, as well as candidates Charlotte Pirch and Lorriane Prinsky; others may attend.

The forum is scheduled from 6 to 8 tonight at 12901 Euclid St., Garden Grove.
