It’s a zoo this weekend at the OC Fair & Events Center. A menagerie of pet care information will be available at Pet Days 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Coordinated by the Animal Assistance League of Orange County, the event is being held in conjunction with National Pet Wellness Month and features a variety of adoption and rescue centers, experts on animal welfare and specialty pet services.
The Canine Angels Service Team will be on hand today with dogs for children with special needs. Orange County Cavy Haven will have information on how to adopt Guinea pigs, and the group Orange County Ferrets will provide information on domestic ferrets.
The Soccer Collies, a pair of soccer-playing dogs, will perform 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. The Surf City Animal Response Team will give tips on disaster preparedness for pets.
Other exhibitors include Southern California Bull Dog Rescue, All Paws Dog Daycare, German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, Southern California Dachshund Rescue and At Home Cat Care.
Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.
