Late goal lifts Panthers to win

Garrett Zolg scored late in the third period to get the Panthers past the Rink Rats, 7-6, in a Smythe Division matchup at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Zolg scored both third period goals for the Panthers and finished with a team-best three goals.
Tyler Beardshear scored twice and had two assists, Ryan Beardshear scored twice with an assist and Zolg and Jake Shaylor each had an assist. Alan Plummer recorded 12 saves.
Peter Skowron scored three times to pace the Rink Rats. Tyler Barba scored twice with an assist and Jack McKeown scored a goal. Logan Matsunaga registered 25 saves.
? Campbell Division
Avalanche 4, Penguins 4: Kieran Reynolds scored with 1:04 to play to lift the Avalanche into a tie with the Penguins.
Luke Benavente scored the first three goals for the Penguins and Lauren Campbell and Angel Mendez each had an assist. Brandon Entwistle had 24 saves.
Kameron Christi and Brittney Do both scored before Slater Miller posted the final two goals for the Penguins. Karah Gomez had an assist and Jackson Wozniak finished with 14 saves.
? Mite Division
99s 9, Puckhogs 7: The 99s jumped out to a 7-2 lead through two periods of play and then withstood a five-goal barrage in the final period by the Puckhogs to claim victory.
Cooper Haar netted the first five goals for the 99s and assisted his team’s final goal in the third period. Casey Rhodes scored twice and Brett Rudy scored once. Rudy also recorded four assists and Haar, Dylan Reightley and Blake Luevano also had multiple assists with two apiece. Kameron Christi had 35 saves.
Amanda Vongries and Caden Thompson each scored twice to lead the Puckhogs. Ismael Ralste and Julia Wong also scored.
Thompson also had two assists and Brandon Ha picked up an assist. Chris Hernandez recorded 41 saves.
