The Huntington Beach High baseball program will host a youth baseball camp beginning Monday.
The camp, run daily from 1 to 4 p.m., is five days and ends July 11. The registration is $125 per person.
Campers will be given instruction on the fundamentals of the game, with a large emphasis on hitting and fielding, by the Huntington Beach varsity coaching staff. The camp is in its eighth year.
“I like having this camp because it gives me and my coaching staff a chance to see what the future holds at Huntington Beach High School,†Oilers baseball Coach Benji Medure said. “It is a lot of fun working with younger kids because of their energy and passion for baseball. I have a great time with them.
“We will teach them the hitting and fielding system that we teach here at Huntington Beach. It gives them a head start before they become freshman.â€
