Carlo Borunda, a Newport Beach Country Club pro, has not qualified for the U.S. Open as it was incorrectly reported in a story published Sunday. Borunda has qualified for a U.S. Open Section Qualifier at Lake Merced Country Club in Daly City on June 2 and will need to finish in the top four to make the cut for the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course. The U.S. Open Section Qualifier will be a 36-hole event.
