Its signature 80-minute Shell Therapy Body Ritual is to die for. Solutions Denim in Newport Beach hosts a fabulous summer fashion show Saturday with a live performance by Djj-heart. The Crow Bar and Kitchen, a gastro pub with a comfortable pub-like environment and upscale, gourmet cuisine, hosts a California Craft Brew dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Crow Bar’s incredible Chef Scott Brandon prepares a four-course dinner, starting with an amuse and ending in dessert perfectly paired with hand-selected limited-quantity ales and stouts. Beer aficionados can enjoy rare sublime brews with Chef Scott’s classic pub food with a gourmet touch.
The California Craft Brew Dinner costs $75, tax and gratuity not included. Amuse is a jumbo lump crab club sandwich, paired with Lost Coast Great White Ale, and the first course is a “fish and chips” house-cured Scottish salmon gravlax, Yukon gold potato gaufrettes, shaved fennel salad and crème fraiche served with Craftsman Heavenly Heffe. Second course is spring pea bisque with Hook’s 12-year-aged-cheddar grilled cheese, paired with Stone Levitation Ale.
The third course is grilled wild white prawns, romesco, wild spring ramps, pappardelle, paired with The Lost Abbey Red Barn Ale. The fourth course is an herb-crusted organic pork tenderloin, Marsala glaze, Fuji apple and potato rosti served with Anderson Valley Brother David Triple. And dessert is an Alesmith “Speedway Stout” float with vanilla bean gelato and house-made biscotti. The Crow Bar is open 5 p.m. to midnight daily and for brunch 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
