Lightning boys poised for groundbreaking triumph

It’s been a season of firsts for the Sage Hill School boys’ tennis team.
The Lightning won their first Academy League title in school history, and also beat rival St. Margaret’s for the first time.
Today, the Lightning have another goal: advance past the CIF Southern Section Division IV quarterfinals when Sage plays at Rowland at 3 p.m.
Sage Hill has advanced to the quarterfinals each of the past four seasons, but has lost every time.
Rowland is the No. 2-seeded team in the draw, while Sage Hill is unseeded despite being ranked No. 1 for about half the season.
