Meeting of the unbeatens today at Orange Coast

The OCC women’s tennis team will play host to Grossmont in the Southern California Regional Dual Team Championships today at 2 p.m., the first time the two undefeated programs have played each other in team competition.

“It’s going to be a tough one,” said OCC Coach Janice Maran. “We’ve seen them in individual competition and they’ve gotten the better of us.”

At the Ojai Valley Tournament, OCC No. 1 singles player Brittany Bass lost to Grossmont’s Vanessa Reibstein. The Griffins’ No. 1 doubles team of Reibstein and Brianna McClintock beat OCC’s Bass and Brittnie Furuvald en route to claiming the title.
