Fletcher Jones to debut Roadster, largest allotment

Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport Beach, hailed as the nation’s leading Mercedes-Benz dealership, is expected to debut the company’s new SL Roadster in April.

The dealership at 3300 Jamboree Road will also receive the largest allotment of the new Roadsters of any dealership in the country. The car features an interior with Nappa leather and a heating system situated in the headrests, in addition to other improvements over previous models.

Garth Blumenthal, the general manager of Fletcher Jones Motorcars, said in a release that customers were already calling and asking to be put on a waiting list for the SL Roadsters.

Luxury eyewear store to open at Fashion Island

Dita, a luxury eyewear manufacturer, plans to open its second American retail store this summer at Fashion Island.

The store, Dita Legends, will offer the company’s own glasses and sunglasses as well as vintage frames and a pair of exclusive brands: Oliver Goldsmith from England and Mykita from Germany. The Fashion Island store is expected to open near the Iris Fountain and feature a design by the Tag Front architecture firm, which designed the other Dita Legends store in Los Angeles.

The Dita company, also based in Los Angeles with other branches in Japan and Hong Kong, uses only frames that are handmade in Japan. Every season, Dita releases new eyewear lines in collaboration with a number of Japanese makers.
