Estancia 119, Saddleback 41
COSTA MESA — The Eagles won nine of 11 events in the nonleague meet Friday at Estancia.
Senior Ramin Tasbihchi won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 25.68 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 1:12.25. Tasbihchi was also part of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays for the Eagles (3-0).
Senior Jeff Crosson, who was also in two winning relays, also won the 100 free (54.57 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.42). Senior Tyler Wayman won the 50 free in 26.19, while junior Wes Barloon captured the 100 back in 1:07.42.

MISSION VIEJO — Sailors sophomore Dylan Reuter scored unassisted with 14 seconds left, lifting Newport Harbor in the nonleague game Friday at Capistrano Valley High.
Senior Cory Ames had five goals for Newport Harbor (2-1), which came back from a 7-3 halftime deficit. Junior Spencer Baratto had three goals and an assist, and junior Zach Gagnon tallied four assists.
Senior Ronnie Dunmore had a team-high eight ground balls for Newport Harbor, which plays at Tesoro on Tuesday.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Best of the West Tournament
POWAY — Defending tournament champion Corona del Mar High won all three of its pool-play games Friday at Alliant International University, advancing to today’s Gold Division (top 16 teams).
CdM defeated Long Beach Millikan, 25-11, 25-19, before getting by Clovis West, 25-22, 25-17. The Sea Kings (5-0) then topped Edison, 25-18, 25-21.
Senior Dillon Flinn had six kills against Millikan, while junior Joey Cooper added five. Senior Gus Ellis had seven kills and four blocks against Clovis West for the Sea Kings, the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll. Senior Jeff Carlson had six kills.
Junior Dylan Davis and Ellis each had a team-high 11 kills in the victory over Edison, with three and two blocks, respectively. Sophomore Weston Nielsen had eight kills, junior Connor Bannan dished out 31 assists and senior Spencer Brown had 14 digs.
“We really started coming together in that Edison match,” Coach Steve Conti said.
Today’s Gold Division matches will take place at Epic Volleyball Club, also in Poway.
Newport Harbor also advanced to the top 16 by sweeping its three matches Friday at Alliant International University.
The Sailors defeated De La Salle, 25-11, 25-12, before outlasting La Costa Canyon, 22-25, 25-18, 18-16. In the third match, Newport Harbor downed Harvard-Westlake, 25-14, 25-20.
Kyle Caldwell had six kills and 18 assists for the Sailors (3-0) against De La Salle. Mark Lieberman had five kills, Tucker Peleuses had four and Andrew Kaban added six digs.
Caldwell had 13 kills and 16 assists against La Costa Canyon, and Lieberman tallied five kills, four digs and three service aces.
Lieberman had six kills and three aces in the Harvard-Westlake win, and JB Green also had six kills. Peleuses tallied five kills, while Caldwell had 20 assists.
Loara def. Estancia
COSTA MESA — Kyle Prevel had five kills for the Eagles but Loara swept, 25-17, 25-21, 25-13, Friday night at Estancia.
Bradley Reitler had two solo blocks and one block assist for Estancia (2-1). Tyler Sullivan had six assists.

SANTA ANA — The Eagles erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning of Friday’s consolation game of the Costa Mesa Bracket of the Newport Elks Tournament at Saddleback High.
Estancia senior Ryan Redding went two for three with a triple, an RBI and three stolen bases for Estancia (3-2). Redding also got the win, giving up only an unearned run and single hit in five innings while striking out eight.
Ryan Cherney was two for three for Estancia, and Troy McClanahan and Gavin Montague each added doubles.

COSTA MESA — Senior Luke Boulger was two for four with a double and two runs scored, but the Mustangs couldn’t hold an early lead in the third-place game of the Costa Mesa Bracket of the Newport Elks Tournament Friday at Costa Mesa High.
The Mustangs (3-2) play Beckman in a doubleheader Wednesday at TeWinkle Park.
