Sailors have outside shot at share of league crown

The last time Newport Harbor High played against Marina, Kyle Caldwell became the school’s single-game scoring recordholder. The senior center scored 47 points to lead the Sailors to an 81-71 win over the Vikings Jan. 18.

Newport Harbor will need a similar effort from its big man to have a chance to win a share of the Sunset League championship. The Sailors have a shot at the league crown when they play host to Marina tonight at 7.

Newport Harbor will vie for the win and look to Esperanza to down Los Alamitos.
