Art-A-Fair seeks artists
The Art-A-Fair Festival is seeking new artists for its summer show; jury day is from 8 to 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Boys & Girls Clubs on Laguna Canyon Road.
Artists who wish to be considered are invited to submit work for jurying either in person on that day, or by mail; mail submissions are due by Jan. 20. Artists who hand-deliver their work Jury Day receive their scores and notification of acceptance or declination at pick-up the same day, from 4:30 to 5 p.m.
The festival is unique among the Laguna art festivals in that there are no geographic requirements for participants. Although primarily from Southern California, exhibitors include artists from other parts of the U.S. and even Europe.
Every art form is welcome and represented at the show, including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, drawings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wood. Artists may jury with more than one form.
Forms and information about the specifics of submitting applications and work, including an Artist Prospectus and Application Checklist, can be found at www.art-a-fair.com.
