Loft-style units up for commission vote
The Costa Mesa Planning Commission will vote on plans to add 22 loft-style residential units over a storefront at 801 Baker St. during its meeting at City Hall tonight.
The plan, spearheaded by Red Mountain Retail Group, would be the first such mixed-use property for the city, according to Planning Commission member Jim Righeimer.
Construction would include structural reinforcements for the three additional floors planned by the group, as well as a new storefront for the building.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at 77 Fair Drive.
