Sage Hill has ten who earn all-league status in tennis

Five players from the Sage Hill School girls’ tennis team have earned first-team All-Academy League honors.

Singles players Julia Blakeley, Jaclyn Smrecek and Laney Tucker, as well as the doubles team of Danielle Goodman and Niki Cochran, made the first team.

On the second team is singles player Dominique Moore, as well as the Lightning doubles teams of Isa-Marie Taskinen and Kelly Chang, and Sam Murray and Sarah Choi.

Blakeley, a sophomore transfer from University High, stood out all year for the league champion Lightning at No. 1 singles. She was also the league runner-up in the Academy League singles tournament.

Smrecek, the only returning starter and a co-captain, excelled at No. 2 singles and also played doubles in the postseason.
