Orange Coast 76, Cerritos 61

NORWALK — Sophomore guard Courtney Ford amassed 28 points, 17 rebounds, four steals and three assists to help the Pirates, ranked No. 2 in the state, cruise in a nonconference game Friday.

Sophomore Katie Kissee had 16 points, including four three-pointers, and freshman Casey Gomez scored all of her 12 points on threes.

Rachael Maulit had seven assists for OCC, which made 12 three-pointers to the Hornets’ six.

OCC won the turnover battle, 21-9.

OCC improved to 11-1, while Cerritos fell to 7-4.

Tiffany Wilson led the Hornets with 20 points.
