COSTA MESA — The No. 10-ranked Lions gave up the lone goal in the Golden State Athletic Conference match in the 69th minute Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Jillian Foss finished with eight saves for Vanguard (6-2-3, 1-1-2 in conference). Fifth-ranked Point Loma Nazarene (8-1-1, 2-0-1) got the game-winning goal from Christine Grover.
