Orange Oilers dominate Steelers

Huntington’s defense smothered the Steelers as Tae Le Williams, Kenny Carmichael and Sebastian Ross forced fumbles that were recovered by Williams, Harrison Butler and Shea DiNucci. In addition, Butler, Garret Thornburg, Jake Schosh, Jacob Sievers, Rhett Blackwell and Michael McDermott all recorded tackles for loss.
McDermott and Zane Webster also made key stops in the open field.
Williams also scored four of Huntington’s five touchdowns and had a 50-yard kickoff return. Nick Favazza got the other score on a 30-yard TD burst on a reverse.
Another offensive highlight came when Webster lost a cleat but kept on running en route to a 25-yard gain.

Inglewood 33, Huntington 0
The Black Oilers put up a good fight but fell to the host Inglewood Jets.
Jackson McCleery and Joshua Crooks led the Huntington rushing attack, Sean Welsh had a key reception, and Nathan Teves had a fumble recovery.
Future League
Huntington 7, Woodcrest 6
Trent McDuffie scored the only touchdown and Andrew Gonzalez led the way on defense as Huntington slipped past the Generals.
Dominic Sicoli, Cash Schnekenberger and Michael Goodheart also had big games for the Oilers.
Clinic Division
Baldwin Park 15, Huntington 0
One week after racking up 38 points in a victory, the Black Oilers couldn’t get on the scoreboard and lost to the host Bruins in a game tainted by penalties and turnovers.
Bowen Blake and Sam Dwyer each had a fumble recovery and Liam Jimmons and Brandon Entwistle had key tackles.
Jr. Pee Wee Division
Norwalk 24, Huntington 0
Norwalk used a big first-half to gain control of the game and went on to blank the Oilers.
Trevor Diehl had a fumble recovery for Huntington and linebackers Scottie Phillips, Gavin Ryan-Massa and Lucas Jeffries limited the Saints to just one touchdown after halftime.
Nick Howard and Maurice Barber had key runs in the first half for the Oilers.
