The American Liver Foundation has announced plans for its fourth annual fundraiser, “An Evening Under the Stars,†Sept. 19 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
Nearly 20 chefs from the region will participate in the event, preparing five-course meals tableside and educating diners about the food’s preparation. Chefs Tim Guiltinan of Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge and Nicholas Weber of Pinot Provence will co-host the event, with KABC radio talk show host Jamie Gwen serving as master of ceremonies.
“As a chef, this is an incredible opportunity to do two things,†Gwen wrote in a release. “Not only does each chef have the opportunity to donate their services to an organization committed to keeping Americans healthy and informed, but they also get a chance to cook under the stars for O.C. foodies that love fine food and fabulous wines.â€
Tickets are $300 for the event, which begins at 6 p.m. in the center’s Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Sponsorships are also available from $1,000 to $25,000. Call (310) 670-4624 for tickets and information.
