Volunteers are invited to apply for a spot on the special needs in transit advisory committee of the Orange County Transportation Authority. The committee advises the authority on how to serve and communicate with transit riders who have special needs.
Committee members spend about 25 hours per year on Orange County Transportation Authority activities, and they are people who have shown an interest in and involvement with senior citizens or people with disabilities. They’re also required to live in Orange County and be at least 18 years old.
Applications for a two-year term beginning in 2008 can be submitted through Aug. 23. For information or an application, call (714) 560-5538, e-mail Donna Berger at [email protected] or visit www.octa.netonline.
