Rangers finish with 9-1 triumph

The Rangers’ six-goal blitz in the first period set the pace of their Campbell Division meeting with the Rollin Rebels, and that quick start led to a 9-1 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Cole Geller, Christopher Bos-teruya and Peter Perez Jr. led the scoring with two goals apiece. Single scores were recorded by Noah Gealy and Dylan Hadfield.

Kyle Barrett led the Rangers in assists with four. Gealy had two assists and Geller, Perez Jr. and Bos-teruya each had one.

Cody Bos-teruya recorded 10 saves.

Trenton Buyan scored the lone goal for the Rollin’ Rebels and Caden Thompson had 29 saves.

In other Campbell Division action:

Hot Shots 7, Sharks 1

The Hot Shots scored the final seven goals of the match to win going away.

The Sharks took a 1-0 lead on the strength of Jeremy lee’s first-period goal but from there, Jake Coon, Robert Muller and Perry Lightfoot each scored two goals and Kyle Hinojosa scored once, to power the Hot Shots’ comeback.

Jeremy Dorff had a pair of assists and Coon and Katrina Manalac each had an assist.

Trenton Shehan had 20 saves for the Hot Shots and Dillon Makoff 24 for the Sharks.

Mad Dogs 11, Stars 3

Joseph Loya and Brandon Entwistle each scored three goals as the Mad Dogs overpowered the Stars.

Adding to the 11-goal total were Haley Miller and Matthew Gomez, who each scored twice, and Presley Merrick who scored once.

Gomez led the way with three assists and Miller, David Chapman and Slater Miller also had assists.

Jake Gealy recorded 10 saves.

Puckhogs 6, Hot Wheels 6

Dylan Reightley scored off a feed from Marlin Liberatore with 3:26 remaining to lift the Puckhogs into a tie with the Hot Wheels.

It was the third goal for Reightley who also had an assist.

Other Puckhogs goals were recorded by Liberatore, Chris Hernandez and Garrett Felix. Hernandez and Thomas Olaes also had assists.

Weston Bechtold finished with seven saves.

Jorden Wozniak’s three goals paced the Hot Wheels. Jackson Wozniak, Zeke Ziegler and Preston Yamasaki also scored and Jacob Olson and Jackson Wozniak each had an assist.
