Junior firefighters camp registration begins

Registration has begun for the next Newport Beach Junior Firefighters Camp this summer. Children ages 9 to 13 are invited to join the event, which runs three days a week between June 10 and Aug. 29.

Newport Beach firefighters will teach the kids basic fire safety, first aid and a small introduction to firefighting tools and skills.

Classes run from 8 a.m. to noon, three days a week at Mariners Park in Newport Beach. It will be hands-on and very interactive.
