Help others while you shop at Macy’s on Friday

Macy’s shoppers can support several local nonprofit groups while scouting the latest items for summer as the department store hosts its annual Community Shopping Day at South Coast Plaza from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.

With the purchase of a $10 ticket, shoppers will receive 10% to 20% discounts on items throughout the store and the chance to win a $500 shopping spree. All profits from ticket sales will support dozens of organizations, including Orangewood Children’s Foundation, Pacific Symphony and Animal Assistance League of Orange County.

In-store events include children’s storytimes and cooking demonstrations and live music.
