Costa Mesa police have arrested a Riverside man as a suspect in a rash of recent OxyContin thefts from drugstores, including two on Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa.
Cody Kevin Dunn, 22, was arrested Thursday afternoon without incident by Costa Mesa detectives as he walked to his car from his apartment on Pierce Street in Riverside.
Detectives identified Dunn through surveillance video and physical evidence from the Rite Aid pharmacy at 3029 Harbor Blvd. that was robbed in April, Sgt. Frank Rudisill said.
Dunn is being held on $100,000 bail at Orange County Jail.
Rudisill said Costa Mesa detectives are working closely with law enforcement agencies in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties to determine if Dunn was responsible for similar robberies committed there.
