Jen Olvera pitched a complete-game four-hitter with 11 strikeout in Lions’ 3-2 win. Rachel Bomgren and Jennifer Rynda had four hits each for the two games for Vanguard (33-6).

Vanguard 5, Cal Baptist 4COSTA MESA — Dieter Weislmaier, William Strom, Vaseleios Psyrras, Thomas Frank and Garrett Gillon won in singles to help lead the Lions (16-5) to the nonconference win Tuesday.
Riverside 6, Orange Coast 3COSTA MESA — Andy Ong swept his singles match without dropping a game then teamed with David Stacy for a doubles victory but the Pirates (10-3, 5-3 in conference) dropped the Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday.
On Monday, Ong and Stacy swept their opponent at No. 3 doubles to clinch a 5-4 OEC win over Irvine Valley. Jon Kroopf, Giovanni Villicana, Ong and Cem Bodur won in singles.
WOMEN’S TENNIS

Orange Coast 5, Riverside 4RIVERSIDE — Evelyn Wallace, Heather Morton, KD Doran and Mahtab Davatolhagh won in singles to help lead the Pirates (11-0, 8-0) to the Orange Empire Conference win Tuesday.
