Vanguard 10, Westmont 5COSTA MESA — Andrew Riddle pitched seven strong innings, striking out 10 and allowing one unearned run, and Benjamin Linn went three for four with a pair of doubles and two RBIs to lead the Lions to the Golden State Athletic Conference victory Thursday.

Luke Iverson, Nick Vaughn and Zach Leighton had two hits apiece for the Lions (16-11, 13-10 in conference).

Adam Hastings added a pinch-hit solo homerun.

Mahtab Davatolhagh picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory and the tandem of Evelyn Wallace and KD Doran won in doubles 8-1 for the Lions (10-0, 7-0 in conference).
