Broadway paving done

Caltrans has completed the repaving of Broadway, and striping of the roadway was accomplished early this week.

On Monday, crews cut into some of the repaved areas in which sewer manholes were covered up, said Steve May of the Laguna Beach Public Works Dept.

The manholes will have to be adjusted to the new height of the paving.

Other traffic projects

Construction of a pedestrian crossing at the Festival of Arts on Laguna Canyon Road is expected to be completed by the end of February, May said.

Crews have been working in the driveway entry to the city employee parking lot across from the festival grounds.

In addition, May said that crews began this week installing an in-pavement flashing crosswalk on Laguna Canyon Road at the Laguna College of Art & Design and finished last week.

The project is adding a left-turn signal on southbound So. Coast Highway at Legion Street.
