Costa Mesa 60, Laguna Hills 56COSTA MESA — Moses Titus scored a game-high 20 points, including five three-pointers, and Larry Puente added 19 points in the Mustangs’ nonleague win Wednesday.
Hung Duong contributed nine points for Mesa (12-6), which opens Orange Coast League play Friday at 7:30 p.m. with a home game against Laguna Beach.

Newport Harbor 3,FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Ulises Vega, Will Reichenstein and Jake Kalwitz scored for the Sailors in their Sunset League win Wednesday.
Fountain Valley 0
Vega collected an unassisted goal early in the first half. Sergio Rodriguez assisted Reichenstein’s goal about 15 minutes into the second half. Then Kalwitz capped the scoring with an assist from Garrett Heiser.
Goalies Nathan Freiberg (three saves) and Kevin Etter (two saves) combined for the shutout.
Newport Harbor (8-4-3, 2-0-1 in league) will play host to Esperanza Friday at 5 p.m.
Corona del Mar 3, Beckman 0IRVINE — The Sea Kings started their Pacific Coast League season with a shutout on the road Wednesday.
Charlie Albright scored the opening goal on a one-on-one breakaway in the 25th minute. Reed Williams scored in the 50th minute off a pass from junior Omeed Alemi. Jon Udahsev, in his first game back because of injury, scored the third goal from 20 yards out.
Jaffer Kattan made five saves for Corona del Mar (3-8-2)
Sea Kings Coach Pat Callaghan said the entire defense played well, especially Dean Pospisil and Miles Kellerman.
