Youth lacrosse registration open

Registration is now open for the winter youth lacrosse season. Huntington Beach will have two boys’ teams, fifth/sixth and seventh/eighth grades, compete in winter league play.

Practices begin later this month with Saturday games played in January and February.

More than 20 county schools field CIF-sanctioned prep lacrosse teams during the current school year, including Marina, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos and Mater Dei.

Youth hoops camp debuts Nov. 20

A youth basketball camp for local youth grades second through ninth will be offered in Huntington Beach at Liberty Christian School.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 20 all three days. The cost is $150 per camper and multiple family members, groups and team discounts, are available.

Liberty Christian School is at 7661 Warner Ave.
