NIKE GET FIT GIRL
Take part in a guided 3-mile walk or run. Men, women, children, walkers and runners are all welcome. Warm-up and stretching starts at 9 a.m.; the run and walk begins after that. The Nike store will provide water, snacks and a workout journal, and hold a monthly raffle. Please RSVP for an accurate head count. SUMMER AQUA CAMP
Downtown Recreation Aquatics Center, 1860 Anaheim Ave., Costa Mesa. The City of Costa Mesa Recreation Division will offer a week-long aquatic experience for children ages 6 to 14 that promotes water safety and enjoyment. $26 for residents, $31 for nonresidents. Only walk-in registrations are accepted.

Celebrate the Newport Beach centennial with Mayor Don Webb, the Newport Beach City Council and special guests as they blow out 100 candles on the city’s giant birthday cake on the front lawn of City Hall. Free and open to the public.
