Kings rule Raptors

Mark Clifford scored the final four goals of the match for the Kings as they pulled away to defeat Norris Division rival, the Raptors, 5-2, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Jake Shaylor scored five minutes into the match to give the Kings a 1-0 lead.

Kian Nafison had a pair of assists and Ethan Higbee finished with 26 saves.

Jack Surdin and Andrew Schenker scored for the Raptors and Nick Hoskins had 14 saves.

In other Norris Division action:

Bears 7, Breakers 4

Tyler Gealy scored three goals to lead the Bears on offense in their win against the Breakers.

Austin Koss posted two scores and Justin Campbell scored for the Bears. Campbell led the squad in assists with three, Alex Anderson had two assists and Koss finished with one.

Evan Gray recorded 23 saves.

Trevor Sabers scored three goals to lead the Breakers. Alexander Taros scored once and added an assist, Jonathan Cooper had an assist and Jake Grothjan had 14 saves.

Grommets 4, Diablos 1

Goalie Emmett Jaeger and the Grommets defense didn’t allow a goal until the final three minutes of the match in defeating the Diablos.

Nicole Langley scored twice, Jake Rennison scored once and had an assist and Alec Lang had a goal for the Grommets. Danielle Dapello had an assist and Jaeger finished with 18 saves.

The Diablos got on the scoreboard when Zak Show scored off an assist from Alex Buyan.

Blake Walker had 17 saves.
