williamsOCC’s sophomore football standout named to third team by J.C. Grid-Wire.Orange Coast College sophomore football standout Justin Williams, who led the Mission Conference in sacks and tackles for losses, has been named third-team All-American by the J.C. Grid-Wire.

A 6-foot, 235-pound defensive end, Williams had 13 sacks to help lead the Pirates to a 6-5 record and a berth in the East County Bowl.

Williams, a two-time All-Mission Conference pick, finished the 10-game regular season with 95 tackles, third on the team, including 22 tackles for losses.

OCC Coach Mike Taylor said Williams is being recruited by Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State and SMU, among others.
