High school roundup for Sunday edition
ONTARIO -- Top-seeded Sage Hill School advanced to the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division V girls tennis playoffs with am 18-0 thumping of Chaffey.
The Lightning only lost five games in nine sets.
Sarah Geocaris and Stephanie Langer swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, respectively.
The doubles team of Salen Andrews and Carissa Cummings won, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1.
Sage Hill improves to 19-3. The Lightning will play Malibu on Tuesday in the quarterfinals. The host will be determined by coin flip.

Doubles -- Graham-Smrcek def. Sanchez-Audelo, 6-4, def. Castanon-Lopez, 6-0, sub Carreras-Smrcek def. O’Neill-Mota, 6-0; Andrews-Cummings (SH) won, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1; Hsu-Spivack (SH) won, 6-1, 6-0; sub Webb-Dokich (SH) won 6-1.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Estancia 15, Victor Valley 3
COSTA MESA -- The Eagles, who were eliminated in the second round the last two seasons, advanced to this season’s quarterfinals with the victory.
Ellie Edles and Heather Morton swept their sets. Edles won, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1and , Morton won 7-5, 6-1, 6-1. In doubles, Sage O’Toole and Cathy Pittman swept, 6-3, 6-2, 6-0.
Estancia (17-2) will play on Tuesday against Morro Bay. The host will be determined by a coin flip.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Sage Hill def. Grace Brethren
SIMI VALLEY -- The Lightning won in three games Saturday night, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17, to advance to the semifinals of CIF Southern Section Division IV-A tournament.
Cat Dailey led Sage Hill with 11 kills and two ace serves. Vista Murphy made nine kills and four blocks. Haywood Wright contributed eight kills in the victory.
Sage Hill (25-8) will play Viewpoint Tuesday at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined.
