Inside scoop on Laguna Farmers Market
Saturday morning at the Laguna Farmers Market is a great way to start the weekend. There is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere as people wander the aisles in pursuit of purple potatoes, exotic orchids and lemon-cilantro sausages. You might find yourself in a heated conversation about the quality of grapefruit with a complete stranger or the intricacies of local politics with the Cheese Lady.
If you have worked up an appetite jogging or just haven’t had breakfast yet, you can just about make a meal by tasting samples; a little bread, a piece of cheese, a bit of fruit and maybe a nibble of chocolate.
Now that you’ve had your munchies and cased the joint, you can get down to some serious shopping, unless of course, you keep running into friends or neighbors and can’t stop chatting. Suddenly, you realize that you have invited four people for dinner. Egads! What were you thinking? You have nothing in the house!
