Newport Beach resident Frank Randall was recently honored as the
University of Nevada, Reno, 2005 alumnus of the year.
Randall, a retired businessman and humanitarian, provided crucial
momentum in the campaign to secure private funding for the
Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. His gift of $2 million spurred others
to contribute to the new center, which will become a hub for
cultural, social and intellectual exchange on campus.
Randall now spends a lot of his time traveling the world on
humanitarian missions for the International Medical Corps -- an
organization that provides healthcare and training to devastated
areas of the world.
