Jr. Pee Wee Dolphins win big

The Huntington Beach Jr. Pee Wee Orange Dolphins showed the Woodcrest

Generals no mercy Saturday, rolling to a 35-0 victory in Jr.

All-American Football action at Huntington Beach High.

Tailback Damien Williamson scored his first touchdown of the

season to give Huntington a first-quarter lead, and he later rambled

for 40 yards to set up a one-yard touchdown run by fullback Donald

Rice.

In the second quarter, Williamson scored his second touchdown of

the game, and Brandon Wooten scored on a 10-yard quarterback sneak.

Alex Alagata tacked on the final touchdown for the Orange Dolphins

on a fourth-quarter scoring run.

The Orange Dolphins next host the Baldwin Hills Bruins Saturday at

1 p.m. at Huntington Beach High.

Clinic League

Orange Dolphins 26, Woodcrest 0

Like their Jr. Pee Wee Orange Dolphins counterparts, the Clinic

Orange Dolphins earned a shutout victory over Woodcrest.

Matt Oakley scored two touchdowns for the Orange Dolphins, Dan

Maguire rushed for another score, and Clint Jack returned an

interception 40 yards for another score as Huntington opened up a

26-0 halftime lead on the Generals.

Quarterback Steele Escobedo scored on an extra point, and his

brother Stone had a fumble return for a touchdown negated by a

penalty.

Running backs Jordan Palomino and Nick Tricarico turned in strong

rushing performances for Huntington. Jack -- who also had an

interception -- Maguire, Palomino and Omar Reyna paced the defense.

The Clinic Orange Dolphins will play their home opener against the

Carson Colts at 11 a.m. Saturday at Huntington Beach High.

Future League

Dolphins 12, South Bay 12 Javier Sanchez scored the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter as

Huntington played the South Bay Packers to a tie at Fremont High in

Los Angeles.

Nathan Mathews scored on a first-quarter run to give the Dolphins

the early lead, but the Packers scored consecutive touchdowns to take

a 12-6 lead.

Ryan Ramlose came up with some key blocks and Jake Armstrong

turned in a strong defensive game for the Dolphins.

Huntington will host the South Orange County Patriots at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday at Huntington Beach High School.
