Thrashers shut down Warriors

The Thrashers picked up an impressive victory in Howe Division play,
shutting down the Warriors, 5-0, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey
Center in Huntington Beach.
The Thrashers’ offense scored three goals in the opening period,
then cemented the victory by scoring two more goals in the third
period.
Kyler Scott, Blake Bowie, Slater Moore and Gregory Hancock each
scored goals. Moore and Scott also had assists.
Kourtney Kunichika got the shutout, recording 39 saves in the
effort.
Eric Freese had 14 saves for the Warriors.
In other Howe Division matches:
Hawks 8, Skynet 6
Will Sheperd scored three goals to lead the Hawks in scoring.
Ashley Woody, Kandice Ehret and Alex McCabe also scored goals for
the Hawks. Brad Giczewski had 26 saves in the victory.
Garrick Langer scored four goals, Eric Epperson scored once and
had two assists, and Jordan Matsunaga scored once to lead Skynet.
Dennis MacCarthy had 29 saves.
Bombers 5, Thunder 4
Stephen Marchand scored an unassisted goal in overtime to lift the
Bombers past the Thunder.
It was the third goal of the game for Marchand, who led all
scorers.
Daniel Graves and Michael Marchand also posted goals to complete
the scoring for the Bombers. Kenneth Nguyen finished with 27 saves.
Erik Jervik scored his team-best two goals in the third period to
bring the Thunder into a 4-4 tie, and Brandon White and Michael
Thomas also scored.
Jonathan Cao had 23 saves.
Alan Plummer blasted a game-best eight goals to lead the Flyers
past the Renegades, 11-5, in Smythe Division action at Coast 2 Coast
Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Austin Gearty and Troy Baljeu scored the other two goals for the
Flyers. Brandon Reitz recorded 15 saves for the win.
Joshua Fowler led the Renegades with three goals, and Jayce Borski
had 18 saves.

The Swarm 8, Pipefitters 3
Five players broke into the scoring column for The Swarm, who were
all over the Pipefitters in this matchup.
Lucas Young led the charge with three goals, with Noah Charnell
scoring twice. Kayden Muzila, Kyle Haymond and Kevin Baumann each
scored once.
