The Huntington Beach Police Department recently promoted Senior

Officers Terry Kayano and Greg Davis to sergeant. Kayano, who has

served with the department for about 17 years, has experience as a

field training officer, beach detail officer and foot-beat officer.

Davis has about 15 years of experience in the department and has

served as a field training officer and in the department’s Training

Unit.

Police participate in Special Olympics

The Huntington Beach Police Department will participate in the

Special Olympics torch run Friday morning. Fountain Valley Police

will hand the torch off to members of the Huntington Beach Dept. at

11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Talbert Avenue and Beach Boulevard.

The officers will run and walk the torch down Beach Boulevard to

Main Street, where they will continue to Pacific Coast Highway.
