Evans tabbed

Sophomore midfielder Brad Evans has been named to the United States

under-20 men’s national team that will represent the U.S. at the 2005

FIFA World Youth Championship from June 10-July 2 in Holland.

Evans is one of 21 players on the roster that includes 10 players

currently playing professionally including Freddy Adu and Eddie

Gaven, 10 current college players and one player in high school.

Evans has played with the team throughout the spring and competed in

tournaments in South Korea and Holland. He had the game-winning

assist in a 1-0 victory over Argentina in South Korea.

Evans was named the Big West Conference Midfielder of the Year

following the 2004 season in which he led UCI in scoring with 17

points on seven goals and three assists.
