UC Irvine Extension’s Life Planning Program is sponsoring a
“Retirement Options Fair” April 2 to bring together ideas and
resources for interesting and meaningful retirement activities. The
event is open to both current retirees and “boomers” beginning to
look at retirement planning. The fair will include representatives
from a wide variety of local and national organizations that will be
available to help explore options in work, play, learning and
volunteering, including the Bowers Museum, Peace Corps, Habitat for
Humanity, Southwind Kayak Center and Executives Unlimited. The event
will take place on campus at UC Irvine Extension Buildings A and C

An Alcoholics Anonymous men’s support group meets from 8 to 9:30
p.m. Tuesdays at the Costa Mesa Senior Center, 695 W. 19th St., Costa

Oasis Senior Center holds a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. on
the second Saturday of every month. Breakfast includes pancakes,
sausage, coffee and orange juice for $3, $1 for children. The center

Jewish Family Service offers ongoing bereavement support groups
for adults at all stages of loss. Group members share experiences,
hear how others deal with grief, receive support and learn ways to
cope with sadness and loss. One group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at
Beth Jacob in Irvine. The second group meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at
Temple Judea in Laguna Hills. The third group meets at 1 p.m.
